Keep an Eye Out for Bicyclists as You Drive

Motorists aren't the only ones on the roads. Drivers often share the road with bicyclists. Because cars are bigger and more powerful than bicycles, it's important for drivers always keep an eye out for cyclists.

When driving, stay focused on the road. Put your phone away, keep your hands on the wheel, and scan your surroundings frequently. Before making a turn or driving through a crosswalk, check repeatedly for cyclists or pedestrians. Leave plenty of space between you and a bicycle that's pedaling along the side of the road. If there isn't enough room to allow for several feet of clearance, permit the bicyclist to ride ahead of you.

Safety on the road is of the utmost importance. Visit us at Susan's Auto Mall to see our selection of cars with the latest safety features.
